The disciples understood Jesus to be the Messiah but had a hard time understanding the Plan of God. That the Messiah had to suffer and die on the cross for the sins of the world. Jesus taught them that if they followed him they to would suffer and die. To be a follower he told them they would have to deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Him. This morning we will examine the cost of being a follower of Christ.
